Hawaii is the world of wonders, an enchanting cavalcade of beauty that many people find hard to pass up. If you're heading down to Hawaii, you're going to need to have some inside information about the island and just what it can do for you. So sit back, relax, and take a trip with me to the beautiful scene that is Hawaii. "...And if you look to your left, you can see the beautiful Pacific Ocean. And to your right, look...more ocean." Not exactly the most exciting plane ride, but when you look down and you see the lights and glory that encompass Hawaii, you'll think immediately that it was worth the five hours of endless water. As you disembark from the plane, with the re-pressuring of the cabin still fresh in your ears, you'll notice the charming beauty of the Hawaiian Airport. Part new-age modernism, part post-hippie-1970's shag, the nostalgia of those lost times will come roaring back to you. As you exit the baggage claim into the humid Hawaiian twilight, you'll be raptured by the sheer beauty of the island. You take a quick look around to get your bearings and then realize, with a sheepish grin, "I've never been here!" Everything is so new and wonderful to you, and even in the night-time glow of the streetlamps you know that something wonderful is all around you. Head down to the small condo, right on the beach, that you've had reservations at for months, unpack, and just sit on the porch watching the night-soaked black waves come crashing against the rocks. As you awake the next morning, the bright Hawaiian sun streaming in through the open window, you stretch and finally get your first view of Hawaii. It's beautiful. Palm trees follow the streets, racing through the mini-malls and tourist shops that Hawaii is so famous for. You get dressed and walk outside, feeling the warm wind in your hair as you traverse through the city, on your way to the terminal where your car is going to be coming in. But you know you have some time, so you make your way to the little shops that are all over the place, maybe looking for something to take back home to the kids. As the sun moves higher overhead, you decide that today's maybe not the day to pickup your car; you'd rather just spend it walking around the island, not even looking for a cab. Just admiring the beauty of the world around you. You make your way into town, past the myriad restuarants, and actually into downtown LaHaina. There you see the art galleries, full of bizarre and beautiful artwork from around the world, and you stop and admire them. The swirls of red and blue, the amazing sculptures that depict things you've never even dreamed of. You spend hours there, just admiring the art. Or, if you're reading this thinking "what a waste of time," then maybe something else. Maybe...a little fishing? OK, we'll go with that then. You head out onto the beach, following a group of tourists who are having just as much fun as you are. Up ahead, you see a sign: deep-sea fishing, $25. You think to yourself, "oh man! I love to deep-sea fish!" So, being the curious one, you head out there. You pay your $25, hop on, and listen as the instructor tells you exactly how to hold the rod so you don't take your arm off trying to reel in the fish. As you head out to the fishing spot, you can't help but notice just how blue the water is. Pristine, in all its oceanic glory, burning like a cold sapphire against your eyes. And you think: this can't get any better. But then, after all that, it does get better. When you head back into town after the wonderful day of fishing and sight-seeing and shopping for stuff, you head back to you little condo on the beach. By this time, it's maybe 5:00 pm, and you decide to go down to the lagoon and take a swim in the ocean. You stumble a little, seeing as how you still have your sea-legs, and dive right into the warm Hawaiian waters. The coolness, yet warmth, of the water is like a paradise you could never imagine as you just float calmly in the serene laguna waters, the sun on your back and the wind gently caressing your face. You get out, dry off, and immediately head out to an authentic Hawaiian luau, where you can learn all about Hawaii, its ancestry and history, and the many folk tales and stories that they tell you. The next day you head down to the port and pick up your car from the docks. And you marvel about how exactly it got here, to this wondrous land of beauty: You come from Kansas City, Missouri. When you called Magic Carpet Auto Transport, they got everything sorted out. A truck came to your house a few days later and, upon inspection of the vehicle, signed the Bill of Lading and off it went. About a week later you've booked your plane trip to Hawaii, gotten all the details sorted out and you're on your way to the airport when suddenly, someone from Magic Carpet calls you up. "Hey," they say, "your car was delivered to Long Beach, California, where the Matson port is, and it's now on a boat heading to Hawaii. It'll be a couple of days before it gets there, so have fun in Hawaii!" And that's it. They hired a truck to pick up your car directly from your house, you and the driver inspected the vehicle, you signed the Bill of Lading, and off it went. In about a week, it arrived in Long Beach, where the other shipping company, Matson (the only one who handles Hawaii and Alaska), picked up your car and immediately placed it on the next available boat to Hawaii. When it arrived at the port a few days later, you came down and picked it up. And you think, "wow, this was easy." But that's how we at Magic Carpet Auto Transport think. We think that the simplest explanation is the best, that your car is important to you, and that you're gonna love Hawaii. So we don't want to ruin your fun in the sun by messing up your auto transport, so we strive to make it as simple as possible. And that's what we do. And we also make sure that any trucking company we use to get your car to Long Beach is fully licensed, bonded and insured, meaning that any damages that the car suffers (which is a very rare occurance), we deal with all of that. You don't have to. Because you want to have fun, not worry. |
