The state of Idaho is called the gem state. This is because it is the only two places in the world where star garnets can be found. The only other place that produces these gems is the Himalayan Mountains. Two major rivers run through Idaho, they are the Snake River and the Clark Fork bend river. The most famous mountain range Idaho has to offer is the saw tooth range. If you like cold winters Idaho is the place and your summers can be hot but pleasant. Potatoes is Idaho's major agricultural product. They produce nearly one third of the potatoes crop. Today the largest industry is science and technology. Boise is the home of Micron Technology a major semiconductor Company.
