Rhode Island has two professional sports teams, the Pawtucket Red Sox of the AAA International Baseball League. They are affiliated with the Boston Red Sox’s. The other professional minor team is the Providence Bruins; they are an American Hockey League. Rhode Island’s economy has a colonial base in fishing and farming. A few other important industries in Rhode Island were tool making, costume jewelry and silverware. Rhode Island’s largest industry today is healthcare and second is tourism.
